The fastest way to write a useful DESIGN.md is to start from examples. This page collects entry points for AI agents, templates, and brand-inspired references so builders can see what a good visual instruction file should include.
A strong DESIGN.md example gives an agent concrete guidance: color roles, typography, spacing, radius, shadows, component variants, page patterns, accessibility notes, and anti-patterns. It should be specific enough to guide code, not just moodboard language.
Copy structure, not identity. Keep the useful sections, replace the brand rules with your own product choices, and test the file by asking an AI agent to build one real screen from it.
